I am a London based queer illustrator with a particular interest in narrative illustration.
My inspiration comes from everything around me. From growing up in South East London to the time spent studying in the Netherlands and Scotland, I feel most creative when I am exploring surrounding environments and finding new ways to respond in my image making.
I am continuously inspired by artists who can create a shared experience with their work, communicating their own complex understandings and emotions in a way that audiences can resonate with. I love comics and think narrative illustration is an immensely powerful form of visual communication that can be equally as effective for sensitive and complex ideas as it is for bold action sagas.
In addition to narrative illustration I hope to work on more commercial work, I enjoy the process of collaborating with clients to share a message in my own visual style. In my personal work I experiment with learning new mediums and techniques such as printmaking and bookbinding.
My style of illustration is influenced by a fusion of graphic novels and pop culture. Bold vibrant colours are my favourite and I typically work digitally. I want my work to be joyful and engaging but most importantly I want it to have meaning. Every illustration is an opportunity for commentary and insight.
